Quality access to mental health services in communities of color have, historically, has been a struggle. While working in the field it became apparent that the disparities in access to quality services was a factor in marginalized communities with addressing both acute and chronic mental health needs. With that in mind, the mission of re-engaging communities of color in participating in substantive mental health service, began. The Phoenix Nicholas Center, LLC strives to bring quality mental health counseling, trainings, and consultations to disenfranchised groups. the purpose is to help decrease the stigma associated with mental health, increase awareness of resources in your area and increase the use of mental health services for general wellness. Mental health treatment is just as important as medical treatment.
